Glyndŵr University Library

Whether you need access to information for work, on-going study or research or fancy some fiction, as a member of Glyndŵr University Alumni Association you are welcome to join the library.

Alumni can borrow two books free of charge at any one time.

 

Joining

To join as an alumni member, you can visit or ring the library with either your old student card or a letter with your name and address on.  You will then be issued with a library card which will allow you to use the facilities available.

Facilities

As you’re no doubt already aware from your time studying here, the library offers a wealth of resources.  Also the library staff are on hand to provide a quality customer service to support you in finding your way around the growing and often confusing world of information.

As alumni you will be able to benefit from the additional services as part of the library's wider information network:

• UNICAT, a joint catalogue and a reciprocal borrowing scheme with Bangor University
• A Health Promotion Library, part of the National Public Health Service for Wales
• Access to the range of library services in the Wrexham area through the Gateway to Libraries in Wrexham (GaLW) partnership
• The interlibrary loan and document supply network through which we can supply books, reports, articles, theses, etc. from the British Library and other libraries both nationally and internationally
• The National Library of Wales in Aberystwyth, which provides reference access to all printed material published in the UK as well as being a major archive and cultural centre in Wales

• Wednesday: 8.45am-9.00pm
• Thursday: 8.45am-9.00pm
• Friday: 8.45am-5.00pm
• Saturday: 10.00am-5.00pm
• Sunday / Bank Holidays: closed
