Peter Lepping went to University in Münster, Germany where he graduated in 1996. He moved to Britain for family reasons and did his postgraduate education in and around Liverpool and North Wales. He has a Masters in Medical Ethics and won several research prizes. His research interests include violence and aggression, delusional infestation, ethics, risk mitigation and various other projects.

Professor Lepping has been appointed Honorary Senior Lecturer by the University of Wales, Bangor. He works as a Consultant Psychiatrist in Wrexham, North Wales. He runs a specialist clinic for adult ADHD. He is also the Associate Medical Director for Ethics, Capacity and Consent for Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.
