Disabled Students Allowance
Assessment Centre and Irlen CentreBoth centres offer a range of services and a professional approach dedicated to ensuring accessibility for all. The Assessment Centre is located in Student Services in the main Plas Coch campus at Glyndŵr University in Wrexham. The centre is a member of The National Network of Assessment Centres. It is a listed centre, meeting the quality standards set by the Disabled Students’ Allowances Quality Assurance Group, approved by the Department for Education and Skills. The Irlen Centre at Glyndŵr University is also based in Student Services at the Plas Coch campus. Established in 2007, it has become the regional centre for North Wales. The centre is associated with the Irlen® Institute California (www.irlen.com) and provides specialist filters/lenses specifically for students with Irlen Syndrome. |
