This is a multi-professional course in leadership and coaching for those working in a clinical and public sector setting (NHS) e.g. clinicians, doctors, consultants and GPs and team leaders. It is aimed at healthcare professionals who are responsible for and involved in leadership, teams and multi-disciplinary working groups. The focus is on personal drive to develop leadership and coaching competencies. The course will be delivered by clinical and academic staff within the Institute of Health, Medical Sciences and Society and the North Wales Clinical School based at Glyndŵr University. The course will be accredited by the ILM (Institute of Leadership and Management) using the Elms Partnership and will attract Clinical CPD points. (64 are anticipated). Course StructureThis course has been developed to ensure that delegates have the best learning experience in the most efficient use of time. 6 days of experiential workshops: 1 – Foundation in Leadership skills (2 days) Minimum 2 hours of tutorials 2 – Foundation in coaching skills (2 days) Work based assignment 3 – Application of coaching (2 days) Minimum 6 hours practical coaching CostCourse fees are £2,000 plus VAT (inc ILM registration).
