As a library and information professional you hold a critical role. As well as managing information and training others to use information effectively, you need to evaluate information quality and care for users’ needs. You need to be flexible, adaptable and have the ability to manage change innovatively, imaginatively and proactively.

Our Library and Information Practice foundation degree will equip you with professional skills and knowledge essential to modern librarianship and information-service delivery. It will give you valuable skills in information technology, teamwork and communication. The environment in which the 21st century library professional works is a focus throughout. You’ll be encouraged to reflect on the legal, ethical and social responsibilities of your work and decisions.
