Welsh Studies

BA (Hons) Professional Welsh*

FdA Professional Welsh*

The demands of a bilingual country have seen a rapid expansion of businesses requiring advanced Welsh linguistics skills and English/Welsh translation.

Wales is a bilingual country which has over the last 20 years seen significant growth in the use of Welsh in both commercial and social settings. This has prompted  a substantial increase in the need for high quality translation and communication skills.

We’ve built our Welsh language studies programmes with businesses firmly in mind. More and more companies are recognising the need for communicating with their customers - and staff - in both Welsh and English. Effective translation and communication skills are therefore crucial to the prosperity of the Welsh economy.
