School of Humanities research

The School of Humanities is active in research and has completed a number of projects which have been highlighted as excellent examples of research in their field.

The staff often have their work published including in the Dictionary of National Biography, history societies and as conference papers at national conferences.

The theatre and performance study area has developed a number of partnerships within the community to use Applied Theatre techniques outside the theatre.

For example, it is currently helping to coach trained doctors in communication skills to help them when dealing with patients.
