Your time at Glyndŵr University

Your time at Glyndŵr University

Teaching and learning in the Humanities takes a number of forms, from formal lectures and viewing sessions to seminars, tutorials and workshops.

Staff are friendly and approachable, and we are committed to providing the best support and encouragement we can for all our students.

There's also a busy social scene, including a film society and opportunities to work on our in-house magazine.

Your working week will include directed study sessions, with 2-3 hours allocated for each of the six modules taken each year, but there's also flexibility in the timetable, giving you time for private study and work on assessments. We follow a two-semester academic year, running from the beginning of October to the end of May.

You'll be assessed in a variety of ways, from formal essays and examinations to presentations and workshops, with opportunities for setting up your own assessment tasks in some modules.
