Professor Patrick Costello

Patrick Costello is Professor of Primary Education and Deputy Director (Research) of the Centre for Pedagogical Research and Scholarship at Glyndŵr University.

Formerly a primary school teacher and Lecturer in Education at the University of Hull, Professor Costello’s research interests incorporate a broad range of topics.

His publications include nine books on primary education, the theory and practice of argument, personal, social and moral education, teaching thinking skills, and action research.

Professor Costello is a member of the editorial board of: Analytic Teaching and Philosophical Praxis (USA) (contributing editor); Teaching Thinking and Creativity; The Welsh Journal of Education; Education Transactions; and The Journal of Pedagogical Research and Scholarship (co-editor).
