The Forensic Science Suite contains a mock-up of a one bedroom house and is used to provide students with practical examples of forensic work.
Each of these labs is equipped with large desks, individual computers and low screens. All computers are pre-installed with SPSS and NVIVO software. The lab in B20 also has an interactive whiteboard.
Each of these labs is based in the Edward Llwyd Centre and equipped with a PC. As with the other labs, these computers are pre-installed with SPSS and NVIVO software along with a range of specialised software, including E-Prime for creating experiments for your third year projects.
The Human Performance Lab contains a variety of sports and monitoring equipment. This is designed to demonstrate how the body responds to different physical stimuli and measure aspects of human physiology, such as human arousal.
The Psychometric Lab contains a range of psychometric tests and equipment designed to measure individual differences, for example self–report measures of anxiety, depression, happiness, intelligence, personality and stress.
The Simulation Lab is based at the Wrexham Maelor Hospital and is equipped with the most modern computer software in clinical simulation. It has direct observation and is used to develop not only clinical skills but also non-technical skills such as collaboration, communication and decision making.
The University library lists in excess of 2,500 psychology texts and more than 50 full text journals. Journals are a mix of electronic and printed versions. |
